We're Serious About Online Security

We're serious about online security, and we've gone to great lengths to ensure your personal information is safe and secure. As a result, we're proud to say we've conducted thousands of online orders since early 2005, without any problems whatsoever.

Our online security covers two areas -- the transaction itself, and your details afterwards.

The transaction itself is completely encrypted using 128-bit SSL encryption and HTTPS technology. Let's take a look at what that means, and how it keeps your personal details safe.

What is SSL?

Recent advances in internet browser/server technology have made it easy for people to use Web services without worrying about electronic fraud. Two examples are Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) developed by Netscape, and Secure Hypertext Transfer Protocol (S-HTTP) developed by Terisa Systems, Inc.

These protocols allow your browser and our server to authenticate each another, and send encrypted (scrambled) information back and forth. When you reach a secure page on our website, the information has been encrypted (scrambled) by our server, and decrypted (unscrambled) by yours.

When you enter sensitive information (such as your credit card details), it's encrypted before it ever leaves your screen. Anyone attempting to eavesdrop sees nothing but scrambled gibberish characters. Our secure servers use 128-bit encryption (the highest standard available today), which is widely used by banks and security firms around the globe. This technology has proven impenetrable.

How to Know if Your Information's Secure

When you enter the booking process on this website, the first thing you'll notice is the Comodo Secure Site seal in the top right hand corner of every page. When you hover your mouse over the Comodo image, information will pop up, indicating that this site is indeed the site we have registered with Comodo. This also acts as a symbol of reassurance to the user that the site is secure.

Additionally, your browser will tell you if your connection is secure.

  • Notice the address bar or title bar at the top of your browser . On this page, the address begins with http:// -- this indicates a normal web page. When you go to a secure page, the address will begin with https://

The image of a lock will appear in the bottom bar of your browser. (The image will look different on different browsers.)

Security During the Transaction

Every step of the booking proces, and every step of all areas that deal with personally sensitive information are on secure, encrypted pages. When you confirm your booking, that information travels by a secure connection .

When your booking has been successfully processed, a confirmation email will be sent to you, with the credit card details hidden from view. That way, you'll never have to worry about revealing your information.

Security After the Transaction

One area in which many online merchants are still lacking is after the transaction. What happens to your information when you're done? You don't want personally revealing information to be out of your control, do you?

Of course not. And we know it. That's why we ensure the security of your details even after your booking.

All historical information regarding credit card, name, and address details is held on a secure computer. We do not retain live records of customer personal details or credit card information on our web servers after the transaction has been completed.

We welcome any questions on the issue. Just visit the contact us page!
