Urgent travel notice: Its business as usual ....
While other cross-Channel ferry operators face chaos and travel disruption caused by berthing difficulties at Calais, there's good news for travellers now that fast ferry operator Hoverspeed has resumed its seasonal daily Dover-Calais services.
Thanks to the fact that in Calais Hoverspeed uses its own dedicated fast ferry berths purpose-built for catamarans, cross-Channel travellers sailing with Hoverspeed will enjoy trouble-free sailings.
Rivals P&O and SeaFrance have warned their passengers that sailings could be severely disrupted while work continues on the Calais berths.
Hoverspeed managing director Geoffrey Ede said: While other ferry operators have had to turn passengers away, the good news is that people who have booked with Hoverspeed will enjoy a trouble-free travel experience. With the added advantage of a crossing time of less than one hour, hugely-competitive fares and an unbeatable range of retail offers on beer, wine, spirits and other goods, theres never been a better time to travel with Hoverspeed.
