A family of five can travel by car with a 99 three day return fare (travel by 30 June ) or take advantage of a longer 5-day advance purchase fare (book by 1 June) from 119 return from Dover to Calais.
On the Newhaven-Dieppe route Hoverspeed is offering a single saver fare (travel by 30 June) for 85 or 170 return; a 3-day return fare (travel by 30 June) from 79 or a 5-day advance purchase fare of 119 (book by 1 June).
As well as being the fastest way to reach France by sea Hoverspeed which is backing Britain thanks to a huge Union Jack emblazoned on the exterior of its SeaCat offers something for all the family.
On-board, parents can relax in new leather seating whilst children can take advantage of a new play area packed with things to keep them entertained. A flat screen TV will show cartoons and features which will change regularly throughout the season which children can watch from the comfort of enormous floor cushions. The more energetic can get to work on the Lego play table or play snakes and ladders on jumbo-sized floor graphics with dice. Parents will be able to supervise from strategically placed seating nearby.
Those who enjoy the added luxury of travelling first class will also see the benefits of the re-vamp. First class passengers now get more seat for their money than previously and can relax in large, comfortable leather armchairs. They can also enjoy priority loading and unloading at port, complimentary refreshments and newspapers on board, plus attentive service from dedicated 1st staff. First class passengers can also take advantage of exclusive 1st departure lounges at Dover, Calais, Newhaven and Dieppe terminals.
The journey from Calais to Dover takes about an hour and there are up to 15 return crossings a day in high season and three daily return crossings from Newhaven to Dieppe, a journey that takes around two hours.
